Side Scan Sonar is the most common type of sonar currently in use by the PSD community. They are an excellent choice for large area searches or when a search area is poorly defined due to unreliable target locating data. This course is designed to provide PSD teams and individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct SAR operations utilizing Side Scan Sonar systems.
